Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC) is an initiative by the Government of Rajasthan to cater to the challenges of creating a large number of livelihood opportunities for the poor, increasing labour force and to increase the income levels of working poor in the state. Under the patronship of Honorable Chief Minister the mission is striving hard to design and implement the appropriate livelihoods strategies for the poor and the vulnerable.
RMOL in VBPC
The Polytechnic has collaborated with “Rajasthan Mission on Skill and Livelihoods” for skill development technical competence and self employment of rural youth. Training is provided on various trades like Household Wiring and Repair of Domestic Electrical Appliances, Motor Winding, Data Entry Operator, Repair and Maintenance of AC and Refrigerator etc.
MODROB (Modernization & Removal of Obsolescence)
The scheme aims to modernize and remove obsolescence in the Laboratories / Workshops/ Computing facilities (Libraries are excluded), so as to enhance the functional efficiency of Technical Institutions for Teaching, Training and experimenting purposes.
It also supports new innovations in Class Room and Laboratory / Teaching Technology, development of Lab Instructional Material and appropriate Technology to ensure that the practical work and project work to be carried out by students is contemporary and suited to the needs of the Industry.
ISTE Course (Indian Society for Technical Education)
The institution is member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). In this capacity, institution has organized national level short & long term training programmes. Like:
- Collaboration of industries with institution for latest development issues.
- T.Q.M. in polytechnics.
- Skill development program for non-teaching technical staff.
IIPC (Industry Institution Partnership Cell)
For effective and fruitful coordination and linkages between technical institutions and engineering industries, the IIPC has been established in the institution in the year 2003.
The institution is providing technical consultancy and material testing facility to various industries and organizations for last many years.
EMD (Entrepreneurship and Management Development)
EMD project was established in the year 2002 with the objects to train & orient the pass out technical students for self employment. The project is sponsored by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), under the MHRD. Various skill development courses like mobile phone repair & maintenance, auto-cad, CD/DVD repairing etc. are running successfully under this project.
